Founded in 2016, Jumpstart Refugee Talent is a Canadian, refugee-led charitable organization dedicated to the economic empowerment of refugees, refugee claimants, and forcibly displaced people. Jumpstart’s primary focus is to facilitate meaningful employment and entrepreneurial opportunities for these individuals, in addition to supporting them in finding durable solutions through complementary labour mobility pathways.

There are five main programs: Career readiness offers support in resume building and interview preparation. Welcome Talent Canada matches volunteer mentors with refugee mentees. Refugee Talent Hub assists in job opportunities through employer and refugee connections. Entrepreneurship Support assists new refugee entrepreneurs to build and scale their businesses in Canada. And the Economic Mobility Pathway Pilot program supports global employers to recruit international talent.
