Privacy Policy Highlights

This privacy policy applies to certain individuals who provide personal information to the Institute for Canadian Citizenship (ICC).

We collect personal information as required for the provision of the relevant services (including information on your use of our services), and any information you choose to provide to ICC.

Uses and Sharing
We aggregate and depersonalize information which we use for a variety of purposes, including assessing and improving our services, and conducting research relating to new Canadian citizens. As a registered charity, we use this aggregated and depersonalized information as performance indicators when requesting for external funding.

We use personal information to determine your eligibility for participation in our programs and events, and as necessary to provide our services.

We do not share your personal information unless we have asked for and obtained your explicit consent. If you do not provide your consent, we will not share your information unless required by law.

When we temporarily provide personal information to facilitate our programs and events, we require the recipients of your personal information to protect the information in a similar manner as ICC. These recipients cannot use your personal information for any other purpose than the reason you provided it to ICC.
