The Strathcona County Trail links Edmonton to the city of Fort Saskatchewan via Strathcona County. Ideal for walking, hiking, biking and horseback riding, the trail traverses Sherwood Park and beautiful rural areas en route to the North Saskatchewan River. Don’t miss the Lamoureux settlement, Fort Augustus and Fort Edmonton — established by the Hudson’s Bay Company in 1794 and 1795 — and the Strathcona Science Provincial Park. Prospector’s Point is another nearby spot that offers river views and a great beach.
